Fall 2014

With her Fall 2014 Collection Yeohlee continues with her romance with fabrics, form and function and introduces YEOHLEE MEN’s.

In her choice of fabric Yeohlee’s selections explore the abstractions of the De Stijl movement with whimsy. Fabrics range from a blood red boiled wool bonded with creamy faux fur (Look 1), to a tech-y beehive woven with a cream cotton backing, (Look 7). Abstract patterns include a birds nest print, black swirls on creamy silk crepe de chine, (Look 16).

Yeohlee works with two principles in cut and construction – one, treating the fabric as sheets of material with no interruptions of cuts and seams as in the jacket of (Look 7). And two – using the seams as decorative elements resulting in intersections of lines and planes, (Look 14).

For this Fall Yeohlee introduces men to her coats and jackets – a velcro duffle in charcoal felted wool, (Look 3) and an army coat in a loden boiled wool that is knitted, (Look 9).

True to her ethos, much of the collection is made with zero waste of time and material in mind. The entire collection is locally manufactured, the looks on the runway were created, cut and constructed in Yeohlee’s workroom behind the store.
